The Playground IPA from the Utrecht brewery VandeStreek was awarded the gold medal at European Beer Star 2022 in ‘new-style non alcoholic beer’ category. A total of 2,168 beers from 40 countries were entered to compete for one of the prizes in the competition.
Gone are the days when beers without alcohol are not taken seriously. It is being drunk more and more and the Playground IPA is at the top of the best ones.
It is not the first prize that the Van de Streek brothers have won with their non alcoholic IPA. “The Playground IPA wins medals every year, but this European Beer Star is a very special one, as it is voted by a very big jury of beer experts.
